The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, The Abbey of St. Joan, celebrate 22nd anniversary, distribute $7,200 to community organizations |
Last Saturday, July 14, on Bastille Day, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, The Abbey of Saint Joan, celebrated their 22nd anniversary at The Cuff Complex Patio by announcing their 2018 grants and by renewing their sacred vows.
The Sisters were able to collect $7,200 during their past year's activities thanks to generous contributions from the community and have given the money to six 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organizations that share their mission statement to provide for the GLBTQ+ community of Washington state.
Grants in the amount of $1,200 per organization were announced for Gay City, NAVOS, Rainbow Center, ROOTS, YMCA/Rise n' Shine, and Teen Feed.
If your 501(c)(3) organization would like to be notified in May 2019 regarding next year's granting cycle, please provide your name, organization, and email address to grants@theabbey.org so we can add you to our email distribution for granting information.
