The Seattle Public Library presents Pacific Northwest Afro X on Nov. 18

Check out our special program celebrating Black Diasporic artists, along with history and culture, from 3pm to 5pm, Sunday, Nov. 18 at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute, 104 17th Ave. S.

Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Complimentary refreshments will also be provided. The event is for all ages and families.

How is Blackness and African Diasporic culture thriving in the Pacific Northwest? This event showcases dynamic Black artists who have been cultivating and remixing Black talent in Seattle and beyond.

Drop by for conversations, music, activities, artist talks and a special reading station devoted to Black culture - past and present. Join the conversation by using the hashtag conversation #PNWX on social media.

This event is presented in partnership with the Central District Forum for Arts & Ideas and made possible with support from The Seattle Public Library Foundation.

The Library's dynamic approach to building community that enriches lives includes programming that brings people, information and ideas together to respect and embrace the well-being of the people we serve. We celebrate Seattle's many cultures by forming strong partnerships with community organizations.

For more information, call 206-386-4636 or visit www.spl.org. For ADA accommodations, please contact: leap@spl.org.
