Woody Shticks rides high in 'Who Cares!' |
'WHO CARES!'
18TH & UNION
February 7-10
2/8 & 2/9 @ 9:30pm
2/7 & 2/10 @ 7:30pm
Woody Shticks is coming in hot with kicky comedy and devastating discoveries in this sparkling solo explosion! Unpack your baggage on this bewildering trip through space and time - from the waterbeds of yore to the wastelands of tomorrow - as we boogie down into the existential vacuum and laugh our way through our favorite lies. Comic stripper and hanky-panky hooligan Woody Shticks returns to 18th & Union (1406 18th Ave. just north of E Union St.) for his third solo theatre premiere in as many years. Directed by The Libertinis and dripping with pizzazz, Woody and his favorite imaginary friends question who we are, where we're going, and 'Who Cares!'
Five-time 'Bawdy Storytelling' favorite, one third of The Libertinis, and forty pounds of fun in a two-pound sack, Woody's been hailed as 'razor-sharp' by Seattle Star, 'comedy gold' by BroadwayWorld, and 'too gay to book anything but children's theatre' by his college acting teacher. Woody has taught master classes at Seattle FringeCon and Intiman's Emerging Artist Program, headlined the Seattle Fringe Festival and The Comedy Womb, and produced new theatre and dance at ACT Theatre, West of Lenin, CoHo Theatre, AllWays Lounge, and his childhood bedroom.
Part of 'Tender Loving Queers,' a queer comedy mini-fest produced by yours truly, 'Who Cares!' grasps at straws while grappling with convention. 'Who Cares!' plays February 7 and 10 at 7:30pm, February 8 and 9 at 9:30pm, at 18th & Union (1406 18th Ave. just north of E. Union St.) in the Central District. Choose your own ticket for $15, $20, or $25 and learn more about Woody's global takeover by visiting www.WoodyShticks.com/WhoCares! and WoodyShticks.com/TenderLoviingQueers.
