Canada: Elliot Page memoir next year
NBC News reported on February 18 that Canadian actor Elliot Page is working on a memoir. Titled Pageboy, it will cover Page's film career and his becoming a prominent Transgender person. Flatiron Books says it will be published next year.

"The memoir will delve into Page's relationship with his body [and] his experiences as one of the most famous Trans people in the world, and will cover mental health, assault, love, relationships, sex, and the cesspool that Hollywood can be," Flatiron said.

NBC noted that Page came out as Trans in 2020, and is known for films like Juno and Inception, as well as starring in The Umbrella Academy on Netflix.

Australia: Pop star wants film role to combat HIV stigma
Reuters reported on February 18 that Australian pop singer Troye Sivan of YouTube fame is taking on a major film role to help combat the stigma around HIV/AIDS. In Three Months, Sivan will play a 17-year-old high school senior who is exposed to HIV just before graduation and must wait three months before being diagnosed. The film is set in 2011.

Sivan told Reuters over a video call, "I think there's a lot of, not necessarily misinformation, but a lot of kind of ignorance [around HIV]. I would love it if this movie plays a part in getting rid of the stigma around HIV and educates people on the fact that, with access to healthcare, this is not a death sentence at all anymore."

Sivan has been publishing his work on YouTube since 2007, came out as Gay in 2013, and previously had smaller roles in Spud, a South African teen drama, and X-Men. Three Months is available on Paramount+.
