Trans Pride Seattle is a free annual festival celebrating Trans life and community across the Pacific Northwest and beyond! A love letter to Trans people everywhere, TPS increases the strength of the Two Spirit, Trans, and gender-diverse (2STGD) community and its allies through increased visibility, connection, love, and the celebration of our lives.
Everyone who supports and affirms Trans life is invited to enjoy the stage show, featuring an all-Trans lineup of talent, and the tabling fair, featuring over a hundred Trans-led and -affirming organizations, community groups, artists, and services; and to find and bask in community among the thousands of attendees who gather to celebrate, to resist, and to show that Trans people aren’t going anywhere.
It is produced by Gender Justice League in collaboration with many incredible volunteers, sponsors, and community donors who have helped make this event possible every year since 2013!
Tabling fair (5–10 p.m.)
Check out over a hundred Trans-led organizations, community groups, artists, small businesses, and services relevant to 2STGD communities!
Make your way through the rows of booths to learn about local programs, events, and services; check out art by local Trans artists; plug into your local mutual aid group; or just see how many free stickers you can collect.
The SGN will also have a booth at the event, offering copies of the paper as well as Pride stickers!
Stage show (6–9:30 p.m.)
Bring a blanket, chair, or whatever else you need to get comfy to enjoy an all-Trans lineup of stunning talent! Expect live music, drag entertainment, speakers on community issues, and more.
Gender Justice League
Gender Justice League is a civil and human rights organization focused on elevating the rights of Two Spirit, Trans, and gender-diverse (2STGD) communities in Washington state and beyond through advocacy efforts, direct services, shared leadership development, and the creation of sacred Trans spaces like Trans Pride Seattle.
Founded in 2012 in Seattle by a group of longtime Trans, Queer, and allied activists, GJL’s purpose was to increase the community’s capacity to address the cissexism, transphobia, transmisogyny, and homo/bi/queerphobias that 2STGD people face.
Recognizing that only 4% of employees in the major LGBTQ+ organizations were Trans, and that Trans people face nearly double the unemployment rate of cis people, GJL’s gender justice model seeks to empower 2STGD people to combat the structural oppression, discrimination, and violence that we face in our daily lives.
Social, economic, and racial justice is at the core of our work. Our analysis of gender justice focuses on issues that are often left on the sidelines of traditional LGBTQ+ activism, such as incarceration and the prison-industrial complex, resisting gentrification, homelessness and housing accessibility, reproductive justice, labor rights, and unemployment.
HELP SAVE GAY MEDIA
As the third-oldest LGBTQIA+ newspaper in the United States, the Seattle Gay News (SGN) has been a vital independent source of news and entertainment for Seattle and the Pacific Northwest since 1974.
We have begun an S.O.S campaign in order to raise $50k to overcome rising printing costs, and remain continuing to provide critical news reporting for the local Queer and Trans community going into 2027 and beyond.
Help us keep printing and providing a platform for LGBTQIA+ voices!
