Revry’s flagship series King of Drag, the only game show dedicated exclusively to celebrating the joy and artistry of drag kings, is coming back for a second season on Sept. 20. This year’s judges will include RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 contestant Gottmik, Vico Ortiz, and Ginger Minj, among many others. The season will also see the introduction of a brand-new host: actor and comedian Cameron Esposito.

With last year’s season notching 33 million minutes watched, 2.2 million viewers, 3.8 billion media impressions to date, and two 2026 Queerty Award nominations, season 2 is promising an even larger spotlight for the next incoming group of bodacious and tenacious drag kings.

“Season 1 proved just how hungry audiences are to see drag kings get their moment in the spotlight,” said Alia J. Daniels, series co-executive producer and cofounder and chief operating officer at Revry. “This tour is our chance to bring that celebration directly to the communities who made the show what it is. Each city is going to be an unforgettable night of variety, performance, and pure kingly showmanship.”

With an all-new cast of eight talented performers, King of Drag once again will champion those that hail from Lesbian, Transmasc, Nonbinary, and Queer communities. Each king will be put to the test on their originality, creativity, and showmanship.

The winner of this year’s season will be given a 22-city national tour — a variety and entertainment showcase that brings the cast of King of Drag to life on stage across the US, starting October 25 in Las Vegas and ending December 6 in San Francisco.

King of Drag connects our focus on entertainment with our values that celebrate self-expression,” said Patrick O’Keefe, chief integrated marketing officer of e.l.f. Brands. “Shining a spotlight on bold disruptors with kind hearts is what we do at e.l.f. To the kings and judges this season: this is your moment!”

Revry

Founded in 2016, Revry is the global streaming network for LGBTQ+ content, dedicated to providing authentic and inclusive entertainment that celebrates the diversity of Queer experiences. With a vast library of original series, movies, documentaries, music, and live TV channels, Revry connects audiences worldwide through compelling storytelling. Revry offers free, ad-supported channels and apps on major streaming platforms and devices, making it accessible to everyone.

Last year, CEO of Revry and cocreator of King of Drag Damian Pelliccione told the SGN that they and three other cofounders — Chris Rodriguez, Alia J. Daniels, and LaShawn McGee — began Revry 10 years ago in Pelliccione’s living room in Echo Park, Los Angeles, then built it into the business that it is now.

Pelliccione also discussed the social role the platform plays through exposing the public to LGBTQIA+ perspectives, “I always say Queer is a culture, [because] then it normalizes … the Queer experience for non-Queer people,” they said. “And I think that's really important. I think media has the power to do that. And I think with Revry, we're able to do that.”

Through running the network, Pelliccione and their team eventually came to the idea for King of Drag because of the lack of media representation of the drag king community that they noticed.

“We've always been a big supporter of the drag king community, and we realized very early on that there [were], you know, drag kings that were not being cast in mainstream shows other than, like, Dragula,” they said.

King of Drag Season 1 saw DC-based King Molasses win the season, and as part of their victory, headline last September at Seattle’s Emerald City Kings Ball.

In an interview with NYC nightlight publication Thotyssey, King Molasses talked about what his win meant for him, as well as the importance of celebrating the performers and the craft: “As the winner of King of Drag and as a person in the world, I want to use my platform to be an example of how resistance and the pursuit of liberation must be grounded love and being ourselves to the fullest extent.”

The second season of King of Drag premieres on Sept. 20 at https://www.revry.tv, where the first season can also be found. Tickets for the King of Drag US Royal tour are on sale now at www.KingOfDragTour.com.
